If you want to give an open space workshop at the Summit please send an email to climateactionsummit@gmail.com giving the name of your proposed workshop and a short description. There will be lots of space. If you have any questions send us an email or phone Annie on 0425 265 169.

If your workshop is accepted we will post it on the website so that people will be able to contact you if they want to attend your workshop.

During the Summit Syd Smith, a consultant with the School of Education, presented a workshop on ‘Educating about Sustainability and Climate Change’. Syd is also the co-author of the Macmillan Masterclass: Teaching for Sustainability – Inquiry, values and actions across the curriculum. If you would like to purchase this book please click here.

Author and environmental scientist, Haydn Washington, presented the workshop, ‘Rebutting the Climate Change Deniers’. Haydn’s book, “Climate Change Denial: Heads in the Sand” is also available to purchase, just click on the link here.

Travelling to Parramatta campus

There will be free parking on Saturday at the university for those attending the summit.

Please park and then collect a permit from the registration desk.

Please bring a cup

We want to be as sustainable as possible during the summit so we ask you to bring a cup with you and keep it for the whole time you are at the Summit. You will be able to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee, or fill it with water from the drinking fountain.

If you forget your cup we will have a few spares and you will be able to borrow one and return it at the end of the summit.

Travel Subsidies

Would you like to come to the Summit but can’t afford to come? Send an email stating why you should be supported. Some reasons could be that you are too financially pressed to afford the travel but you are keen to participate and you will be endorsed by your CAG. Another reason could be that you have a long distance to travel which makes travel very expensive.

To apply send an email to climateactionsummit@gmail.com and we will consider your application. You may get part funding or full funding depending on how many applications are received and how needy they are. Get in quickly so we can take advantage of cheaper flights and so you don’t miss out. The final date for requests is Monday 16th April.
